Chapel Morris Men
Chapel Morris Men have been dancing in and around the Peak District for over 25 years now. We can be seen dancing at local pubs on a Monday night during the Summer Months. In the Winter months we practice at Chapel-en-le-Frith Play House. If you think you might be interested come along and have some fun.
Fidlers Fancy
Fidlers Fancy is a women’s morris team from Stockport, founded in the late 1880s by Charles Burgess Fidler, a fish merchant. We perform traditional dances from the north west of England in clogs and dresses based on a mill girl’s working clothes. North West Morris dancing has developed a robustly rhythmic musical accompaniment provided, in our case, by accordion and percussion so as to be heard above the clatter of clogs and clinking of pints of ale!
