Tanglefoot
Tanglefoot were formed in 1995 when two dancing friends, having seen American Folk Clogging and had attended various dance workshops, decided to form a local team. To this day we are still one of the few Appalachian teams in the south east of England. Tanglefoot have travelled abroad including dancing in Kentucky USA in 2000 at the annual Pikeville Hillbilly Days Festival, where we met other teams and were able to pick up new steps and the current USA clogging style.
Clogging, as our American cousins call it, comes from the style of dancing performed for self entertainment by settlers from the British Isles who emigrated with their traditions in the 18th and 19th centuries and was usually performed on their back porches to traditional tunes. The style of clogging that Tanglefoot perform is called “precision clogging” which is used for team performances.
The Tanglefoot team is mixed and draws its dancers and musicians from the whole of Kent and enjoy demonstrating our dancing talents. We are available to perform at various functions and events which helps to subsidise our expenses. We are also always prepared to welcome anybody who has an interest in playing Old Timey American music or who would like to dance with us.

G&G Morris
We are G&G Morris, a side formed as a result of the Time Gentlemen Please show in September 2011. Sometimes puzzled why some sides would not dance out with fewer than 6 dancers, we followed that logic and are dancing jigs only. The music is usually played on the Rauschpfeife. We are also past and present members of other Cotswold sides.
